great gift the audio is terrific and picture is great as well…is everything i wanted. the item is easy to work provides you with great instructions to use it. the only flaw i have about the item is that the screen isnt removable or detachable…other than that it is perfect.

This unit is garbage. This unit worked pretty good for about 3 weeks, until one day I tried to change the song using my touch screen, and the screen went blank. The audio continued to play, but i couldn’t see anything. The old saying “you get what you pay for” is so true. I knew buying an inferior brand such as “Boss” would be a gamble. The odds weren’t in my favor. Hopefully others will have better luck. I shipped the defective head unit back to Amazon and got a full refund. Thank God it broke before the refund deadline date. I recently ordered a Pioneer unit to replace it.

I purchased this unit recently, thinking it might be a good opportunity to have a great radio in my car and turned out to be a total disappointment. The first unit has a blue line in the center of the screen at just one day to install it on my Mazda.
I made the complaint to Amazon and they sent me a second unit, I was very happy that I received it and thought I could finally enjoy a good music after so long, but to my surprise when I was listening to MP3 files from USB memory the screen began to flash and got blank, although you could hear the music but the screen was not working.
Immediately I turn off the radio and turn it back seconds later to see if it already had passed the “dizziness” that gave him while playing MP3. Then I put a video DVD, when I am enjoying a good show in my new radio the “dizziness” returned with more force and this time it came out of the DVD menu and put in radio mode.
I have many comments on the management functions of this radio:
1. The controls are difficult to understand and do not last long on the screen to program anything, example Bass, Trebble, etc..
2. The sensitivity of the touch screen is very poor.
3. The sound controls are very basic.
In general the quality of this team is very doubtful, because it does not possess a good software to manage it.Boss BV9555 7-Inch Double-DIN Motorized In-Dash Widescreen Touchscreen TFT Monitor/DVD/MP3/CD Combo Receiver
I’m satisfied with Amazon customer service but not with this BOSS.

Unit looks great on dash, good video and audio. Unit is reliable and I am happy with my purchase. However, it is a little tricky to operate menus at first. Instruction book and interface need improvement. For the price cannot complain too much. If you are looking for a basic unit that operates well I recommend this. I would not buy a $1000.00 unit for a car anyways without losing peace of mind over it, every time I park my car away from home.

Provided instructions and color coded wires facilitated easy splice install into car wiring harness. Warning that not all vehicles have necessary wiring required for extra functions like revearse monitoring (transmission, not rear view camera). Front panel buttons were handy, but prefer dial volume (even if it’s just digital). Wished front USB port was standard mini-USB or, even better, full USB.
Radio interface was somewhat boring, and not as access friendly. Unit seems lean on features, as there are menu buttons for GPS navigation, Bluetooth, etc, but N/A on this particular model.
Returning unit because unit not able to receive more than (5) exact radio stations (not even the strongest signals, seems random). Eject button and faceplate open position not consistent from car power-on/shut-off. No option to tilt screen back, for car consoles that slope away from passenger.
